Gail Grossman Freyne, LLB (Melb), PhD (Dublin), MFTAI (Ireland) is a Family Therapist and Mediator who has been working in private practice since 1987 as a founding member of the Family Therapy and Counselling Centre, Dublin, Ireland. Previously, she had practiced for many years as a lawyer in both Australia and the United States. Her published articles and areas of research have engaged with Systemic Therapy and gender in the marital relationship, ecofeminism, transgender and the place of women in the Catholic Church. She is the author of ‘Better to Love than to Fade Away’ in Spiritual Questions for the Twenty First Century, edited by Mary H Schneider (Orbis: Maryknoll 2001) and Care, Justice and Gender: A New Harmony for Family Values (Veritas: Dublin, 2006), and also serves on the Board of the Joan D Chittister Foundation for Contemporary Spirituality in the United States.
